What I Offer

I offer different levels of editing, depending on what you need and how fast you need it.

  • I read every word of your project and evaluate it for clarity, correctness, and style. This service is best for early drafts and/or nervous writers, and may include multiple revisions and meetings, as necessary.

    $20/per hour, minimum $100. Minimum turnaround 1 week for every 50 pages of manuscript.

  • I will read every word of your project for clarity, correctness, and style, and return it to you with suggestions and comments, once. Best for confident writers and/or projects that have been through several drafts.

    $20/hour, minimum $100. Minimum turnaround of 1 week for every 15 pages of manuscript.

  • I check the format of your document against relevant style guides, academic requirements, or example documents. This includes margins, front and back matter, and citations if applicable.

    $20/hour, minimum charge $100. Minimum turnaround time of one week. Please Note: this quick turnaround is possible because I am not reading the full text of your project. If there are errors there, I will not catch them as part of this service.

  • If you have specific questions, aren’t sure how to get started, or want to talk through your ideas, start here.

    One-time video meeting. I may recommend other services as needed. Schedule in 15 minute blocks. Mimimum $35.

My Process

Sign Up

You send me a description of your project, your deadlines, and your goals. I send you my availability, and either add you to a waitlist or give you a date when I can start working on your project.

Start

You send me your project. After I review it, we agree on terms, goals, and a rough timeline. Your minimum payment is due at that time.

Work

I work on your project according to our agreement. Whenever I finish reading through and editing a portion of your project, I send you a document with suggested changes and comments. You review my suggestions and make changes as needed. If you have chosen a service that includes multiple revisions, this step is repeated multiple times.

Finish

When all the work we agreed upon is finished, I send you an invoice stating the hours I worked on your project, and you send me my final fee.

If you have not chosen a service that includes multiple revisions, but what me to check over your work again, you will need to sign up again.
